Probably, yes.

You made a mistake, yes.

But you lived through, you now know better. If that situation comes up again, you'll have a better idea, and you'll remember to think things through.

Don't treat mistakes as failures. Treat them as a chance to learn something, and be thankful that you had a practice run that taught you what you needed to learn.
