[The feed clicks on again and one can immediately hear the sounds of rustling fabric. There's occasional mumbling from Sakura and Neji, but otherwise there's nothing of importance.

That is, when Sasuke himself starts to stir, mumbling quietly to himself. After a couple of minutes his breathing starts to labor, his mumbling growing loud enough for his PCD to pick it up.]

Blood...everywhere... Stop it, uncle... nii-san...

[Kakashi looks...slightly surprised at this outburst.]

...Alright...

[He pulls out his book and sits back down beside Sasuke.]

I suppose I could hang around a while.

Ah... [He pulls the sheets on his bed closer, like they were his shield.]

Thank you.

[He just can't be alone right now. He should detach himself after what he had experienced, but right now... the images are too fresh, to vivid in his mind for him to be left alone.]

["Reading" his book, he watches Sasuke out of the corner of his eye. He certainly doesn't want to leave Sasuke alone if Sasuke needs someone, however inadequate Kakashi is at being there for his student. He knows what this is like, at least in part. If he can help, even a little...maybe he can help save Sasuke from making the wrong decisions this time around, and protect his Team Seven. And keep Sasuke with them.]

[He smiles slightly at the shield of blankets, hoping that helps him in some way.]

Mmm...I'm sure the others already took care of everything, but ...anything else I can do for you?

[Sasuke simply shakes his head. He's already asked for too much from the others. He's shown more than enough weakness it would make Itachi sick. Disappointed.

He's already disappointed in himself. He didn't need Itachi's own disappointment - if he were still here, that is - piled onto that.]

[Kakashi feels like he's disappointing Sasuke (and maybe Itachi too, but really, don't think about that and the deal that was made, because what does Itachi matter? ...really). He should be able to help more, to provide guidance, to make Sasuke not feel weak. He's the sensei, after all.

No wonder Sasuke looks to Orochimaru and Madara.]

I know you'd like the strength to fight Itachi and Madara, but you'll have to be patient with me. I will teach you everything that I'm capable of...

[He sighs. Kakashi has a second chance at this. He better not blow it.]

...And then after that, if you still want to seek out Madara for his lessons, at least then...you'll go in better prepared.

Okay?

[He nods. That would be good. The less opportunity to damage his already fractured mind, the better. He knows that if he suffers seeing the massacre a fourth time will break him permanently.]

Can we start next week?

[Good. Well, he can't ask Sasuke to promise him to not go to Madara, he supposes, so...this is as good as he can do. Maybe in that time, Sasuke will decide what he wants, and he'll chose his team. ...Hopefully. He can't watch this happen to Sasuke any more times than it already has.]

Whenever you want, sure.

Though... [He smiles a little and pretends to be more interested in his book] I'll have to make sure training doesn't conflict with anything the household might have planned next week. Neji might be a little grumpy if he goes and prepares things, and then, well, you know: the special guest can't make it.

[Special guest? It takes him a minutes, but... Ah. His birthday. He had forgotten about it completely.]

Ah... Next weekend, then.
