... Sasuke doesn't operate like other people. He's warm-hearted, even sweet, but the buttons and signals are all different. Nobody takes the time to learn that, it seems like. Other than Naruto... he has him figured out.

Ah ah, Tenten. That's a sensitive subject for him, still. But I do agree with you that it's tiring, and very rude, considering we need all the allies we can get.

He's walking around laughing with Itachi. Everything's just fine, we're cool with a clan being killed off? And Madara's threatening everyone who touches his brother, and we're not responding... Where do we even stand anymore, sir? Where do we say something is headed in the wrong direction?

We're not 'cool' with the clan being killed off. As for him spending time with Itachi, that's allowed, because back home, Sasuke kills him. Here, he doesn't have the means to follow the same path, nor does he have an exact reason to. But there is more to the story, more that's not being revealed.

Madara can threaten all he likes, I doubt anyone would harm his brother, because he doesn't act like Madara, and is blind. What reason would there be in attacking a blind man, who was already badly injured? I do not see him as a threat.

...So because he kills Itachi back home, we're good with Sasuke hanging out with Itachi and possibly becoming a killer here. Though, of course, he's a missing-nin back home, too. Just declared.

The brother isn't the threat. Madara is. And Itachi went to Madara and sided with Madara... and Sasuke is going along with Itachi.
