Something catches his eye, and that snowball he had been making? Now being tossed over and onto whoever it is.

[Once it did come, he flared his aura and melted the snowball before it came to him. He would have ducked instead, but he had been in a very precarious position and would have fallen face-first into the snow and would have had his curse triggered.

The snowball in his hands also melted, but Ranma simply turned off his aura and took out one of the snowballs he had made and threw it at the position he had seen the projectile come from. As he did, he let his eyes glance at the exact place where he saw its trajectory.]
