四十五; 「accidental video post」

[The feed clicks on, and the general view is of Sasuke’s room in Unohana’s clinic. Itachi can be seen sitting at Sasuke’s bedside, and by the looks of it, Sasuke’s having a nightmare. This continues for some time before Sasuke’s eyes snap open, and he screams.

He’s visibly shaking, and Itachi immediately gets up to tend to his brother. He’s covered in cold sweat and shaking his head vigorously. There’s something different about Sasuke, if you look closely.

It’s his eyes. They’re white, instead of ebony. It takes a little bit before Sasuke realizes something is wrong, too.]

I-I… I can’t see…

Nii-san…? W-Where are you…? I can’t…

Can’t see... Scared...

[His breathing quickens, and he’s on the verge of having a panic attack.

The feed times out.]

SASUKE!

[Naruto was just outside, and so it's easy for him to rush in instead of watch the entire video. His eyes fly open wide at the sight of his friend with whitened eyes.]

Itachi's right here, 'ttebayo! Just like I am. M'back, Sasuke.

[He's pretty freaked out, to see Sasuke like this. But he's trying his best to stay calm for the kid's sake.]

[His eyes widen at the too-familiar voice, and he just... slowly starts to shake his head. He doesn't believe it. Thinks his mind's playing tricks on him, now. Naruto's left him so many times already he just... can't deal with it anymore.]

[Well, that's sort of what he's expected after all he's heard. Naruto shakes his friend slightly by the shoulders and says seriously:]

S'me, Sasuke. I got here a few days ago 'ttebayo.

[Naruto sighs.]
