[His voice is shaking slightly. He can't get what was said to him out of his head.]
We have to talk. Let me come over.

[A long pause.]
Can I come over? I don't want to do this over the network.

Come over.

But now...he simply couldn't imagine it. What was the point in killing Itachi? He didn't see how there was anything to gain anymore.
When Itachi agreed to let him come over, Sasuke immediately got out of bed and dressed. Unfortunately he didn't have his jacket and scarf, so he just hoped that he wouldn't fall through a relapse from a simple trip.
He didn't waste any time. Sasuke knew that if he left the clinic through the door, he would be stopped by Unohana and Hitsugaya, who was currently out of the room. His only chance was to go through the window...which he did. He landed with a thud, stumbling onto his knees. Picking himself up again, he broke out into a run toward the Akatsuki House.
And this time he knocked.]

A chill ran down his spine as he walked down the hall, knocking lightly on Itachi's door before stepping inside. Thanks to his previous screw up, he now knew where everyone's room was. At least for now, anyway, now that Akatsuki was starting to come back. Again.]
Aniki?

[Sasuke closed the door behind him and locked it - which was useless really in this house - before making his way over. He looked for a towel and immediately began to wipe off his brother's face.
He didn't look too good, and felt bad for demanding so much attention from him earlier in the month while he was at his sickest.]
You look horrible...
[Offline]
[No point talking about what ails him. Complaining was pointless when you expect to die someday. He'll just ignore it.]
[Offline]
Did...we fight before you came here?
[Offline]
Quite frankly, these were the reasons he thought Sasuke was too young. The boy had so much to learn and Itachi didn't feel like he was the one to do it. Consider it selfishness but he was tired of all of this. He was suppose to be dead.
Fate never bothered to give him a chance. He shifted where he sat.]
No.
[Offline]
Then, what do you remember? [He paused for a moment before adding onto it.] I...was told you died.
[Offline]
[He stared at him for a few moments before leaning back on the wall behind his bed.]
Have you forgotten the hate you had for me before you knew your big brother adored you still? You were suppose to kill me.
I am glad that you will.
[Offline]
I can't... I can't just go back to hating you after last time... [He grasps the sheets on either side of him until his knuckles turn white.]
The second time you were here, you were only thirteen. You hadn't even...doneI can't just throw that away now.
[Offline]
[He brought himself to lean forward, frowning slightly.]
When you leave this place, you will not remember. You will revert to hating me. You will grow up. Strong. A strong and talented Uchiha. Eventually, you will kill me. That is the way it must be.
[Offline]
...And then what am I supposed to do, Itachi?
[Offline]
[It sounded so bluntly because believe him, he had so many mental images of your glory. It left him alive.]
[Offline]
...I can't. I'd rather spend the rest of my life here.
[Offline]
[He gave a slight cough before beckoning him over. That poor boy, he should have never had to hear the truth but it was pointless to keep it away from him. When he returned, he would forget. Someone was bound to tell Sasuke of his death.]
You will always be the better man between us.
[Offline]
You'll always be the person I always admired. And I still do. I don't think...I ever stopped.
[Offline]
Then I have failed in my duty back home.
[Offline]
[A weak chuckle.] I'm sure you can guess the end result of that.
