[When the feed starts, nothing can really be seen. It's dark out, time stamp stating 2:30 am. Someone couldn't sleep, it looks like.

After a couple of minutes, the PCD adjusts to the lack of lighting, and one can barely make out the illumination of Sasuke's feet with the sound of soft rain in the background. He sees the glow and picks it up, the dead grass beneath him rustling at the movement. As he moved the PCD, there's a quick flash - albeit it dimly lit thanks to the device - of a tombstone. There's one character that can be seen during this: う.

When the PCD turns over and shows Sasuke's face, it's completely blank, void of all emotion right before he turns it off.

It's that time of year again.]

[When Sasuke pulled the jacket tighter, Hitsugaya stared at his own for a moment. He pulled it on, switching which hand was holding the umbrella momentarily before switching back. With his free hand, he then picked up the thermos and shoved it none-too-gently into Sasuke's side. Maybe forcing the damn thing against Sasuke's wet clothing would remind him that, yes, there was such a thing called warmth and he had better drink it or else.]

[Sasuke winced slightly as the thermos was shoved into his side, taking a moment before glancing back at it. He took it and held it in his hands long enough for his hands to warm up before unscrewing the cap and started to nurse it.]

[Once Sasuke had it in his hands, Hitsugaya was satisfied. It certainly wouldn't last forever, but it was enough for the moment. For now, he simply looked up over the edge of the umbrella's canvas at the dark gray sky above.]

[The rain wasn't going to let up anytime soon, and Sasuke? He showed no signs of wanting to leave the graveyard anytime soon, either.]

[Sasuke had gone so far as to thank him for coming; he wasn't going to leave without the shinobi right next to him. He wasn't going to fall asleep either, no matter how tired he was. Hitsugaya had always been patient, but there was a limit even for him. When Sasuke finished the tea, if he managed that much, Hitsugaya would try to convince him again.]

[He wasn't going to stop you. When Sasuke drank half of the tea, he closed the thermos and handed it back to Hitsugaya. At least he was somewhat considerate in this state.]

[It was far too early to him to putting anything into his stomach, and when Sasuke handed him the thermos, he only held it a moment.]

How long are planning to sit here?

[He did, he did. And now he regretted it.

Hitsugaya allowed yet another few minutes of silence before saying anything else. He was fine with a slow conversation, so long as he eventually managed to get Sasuke to his feet without the shinobi throwing a royal tantrum.]

Would you rather spend the night at the house or at the clinic?

[Sasuke's answer would dictate what he did next.]

[Well, that was good. Because if Sasuke didn't want to spend it in the clinic, Hitsugaya was going to have to get him inside before the rest of his body went numb too, whether Sasuke liked it or not. (Who let their legs go numb knowing they had to walk home? Who? Apparently Sasuke did.)

Without an explanation, Hitsugaya set down the thermos and handed the umbrella to Sasuke. Whether the other boy took it or not, he wasn't holding onto it anymore.]

If you can't walk, I'll carry you. We can take the grave with us if we have to. If today is so important, spend it doing something productive.

[Fffff. Hitsu, he's probably just gonna spend the whole day sleeping on the couch. It's the one time of year he allows himself to be so pathetic.

Don't touch the grave. [Hello there sudden coldness.]

[So long as Sasuke was on the couch, at least Hitsugaya would be free to be productive. And maybe Matsumoto or Hinamori could even convince the shinobi to eat something substantial at some point during the day.

His frown hardened at Sasuke's change in tone, but he didn't back off.]

If I don't have to, I won't.

[Chances are he won't eat at all.]

Don't touch it at all.

[Matsumoto can be persuasive.]

...If you get moving, I won't.

[Have a hard, cold glare.]

[He tried his best to remain impassive, or at least look like he was.]

Uchiha. If you honestly think I would desecrate your mother's grave, maybe I shouldn't be here after all.

[And he's on his feet, practically shoving the umbrella back in Hitsugaya's hands as he walked back toward the house. Numbness be damned. Way to make him go from the living dead to pissed off.]

Then you shouldn't have mentioned it at all.

[Somewhere in the back of his mind, Hitsugaya actually preferred pissed off. It meant Sasuke was focusing on something that was happening now, not dwelling on something that happened years ago. The problem was that Sasuke was pissed off at him.

He took the umbrella back, though he didn't have much of a choice, and continued to hold it over Sasuke, not entirely out of selflessness. He hadn't backed down before, and he wasn't going to do so now. This time, however, he didn't reply. Obviously opening his mouth wasn't doing him much good.]

[This is why they say 'think before you speak,' Hitsugaya. A lot of the things you say have a tendency to piss him off and rub him the wrong way.]

[He does think before he speaks. A lot of the time he thinks too much. He just doesn't think the right things. Gah. So hopeless.]
