[When the feed starts, nothing can really be seen. It's dark out, time stamp stating 2:30 am. Someone couldn't sleep, it looks like.

After a couple of minutes, the PCD adjusts to the lack of lighting, and one can barely make out the illumination of Sasuke's feet with the sound of soft rain in the background. He sees the glow and picks it up, the dead grass beneath him rustling at the movement. As he moved the PCD, there's a quick flash - albeit it dimly lit thanks to the device - of a tombstone. There's one character that can be seen during this: う.

When the PCD turns over and shows Sasuke's face, it's completely blank, void of all emotion right before he turns it off.

It's that time of year again.]

[Hitsugaya wasn't sure what had gotten the other boy to admit something like that, and he didn't want him to lose whatever it had been.]

...What do you miss most?

[Sasuke stares at the grave again, holding himself even tighter. Right now, he was nothing more than a broken fourteen-year-old boy.]

[He knows you're helping, but it still doesn't mean it doesn't hurt like a fucking bitch.]

I just miss spending time with them. I miss talking to 'kaa-san, training with 'tou-san...

Hitsugaya never talked about his own problems if he could help it, but so long as Sasuke was willing, he'd talk about his.]

[Hey, it's not like Hitsugaya can condemn him for it.

Hitsugaya had been around when the younger Itachi had been in Adstring. He hadn't spoken to him much, if at all, but Sasuke's care for him had been more than obvious.]

I know.

[Sasuke didn't say anything else. He just went back to sitting there, cold, wet, and hurting. Wait, he couldn't know that he was cold; he was too numb. Hitsugaya would have to be the one to bring up the shiver he just did.]

[You'd think being numb would be the very definition of being too cold.

He didn't turn around to look at Sasuke, feeling the shiver down his back rather than seeing it. But he still didn't say anything right away.]

You hate the cold, Uchiha. Let's go back.

[Unohana's waited a little after seeing this, preparing what she wanted to bring out. She shunpoed to the place, but stopped just before actually coming near them at normal speed.

She is carrying two jackets, and what looks like a Thermos bottle, containing some hot tea.

She doesn't speak, just hands one of the jackets to Hitsugaya and drapes the other on Sasuke, and leaving the bottle between them.]

[That sudden warmth makes him jump a little before he glances up at Unohana. For about a second there, he thought he'd seen his own mother, but just as quickly as he had seen it, it was gone. The little similarities between the two didn't help his state of mind at all.

It took all he had left not to start crying right there.]

[Unohana-taichou's appearance surprised him, enough that he seemed to have forgotten all about his attempts to get the young shinobi back inside. Hitsugaya accepted the jacket that was handed to him, watching her as she used the other to cover Sasuke and set the warm thermos on the ground beneath the umbrella. He nodded, attemping to express an awkward, unsure thanks without having to actually sound awkward and unsure.]

[She nodded back and was gone, leaving the two of them alone again, although she did look up at one of the buildings where a gargoyle-like silhouette was visible against the night sky. She smiled before shunpo-ing away.]

((OOC : that's Vinny watching over his chocobo chicks from afar.))

[Sasuke reached up and pulled the jacket closer around him as another shiver went through him. He looked away as soon as Unohana left, his bangs falling into his face and hiding his eyes from view.]

[When Sasuke pulled the jacket tighter, Hitsugaya stared at his own for a moment. He pulled it on, switching which hand was holding the umbrella momentarily before switching back. With his free hand, he then picked up the thermos and shoved it none-too-gently into Sasuke's side. Maybe forcing the damn thing against Sasuke's wet clothing would remind him that, yes, there was such a thing called warmth and he had better drink it or else.]

[Sasuke winced slightly as the thermos was shoved into his side, taking a moment before glancing back at it. He took it and held it in his hands long enough for his hands to warm up before unscrewing the cap and started to nurse it.]

[Once Sasuke had it in his hands, Hitsugaya was satisfied. It certainly wouldn't last forever, but it was enough for the moment. For now, he simply looked up over the edge of the umbrella's canvas at the dark gray sky above.]

[The rain wasn't going to let up anytime soon, and Sasuke? He showed no signs of wanting to leave the graveyard anytime soon, either.]

[Sasuke had gone so far as to thank him for coming; he wasn't going to leave without the shinobi right next to him. He wasn't going to fall asleep either, no matter how tired he was. Hitsugaya had always been patient, but there was a limit even for him. When Sasuke finished the tea, if he managed that much, Hitsugaya would try to convince him again.]

[He wasn't going to stop you. When Sasuke drank half of the tea, he closed the thermos and handed it back to Hitsugaya. At least he was somewhat considerate in this state.]

[It was far too early to him to putting anything into his stomach, and when Sasuke handed him the thermos, he only held it a moment.]

How long are planning to sit here?
